A direct line to my heart.

I have always said that the Pedal Steel is the way to my heart.
There is really nothing like it.
Complete expression in the vibrato and in the tone.
Here is a clip of one of my favorite musicians and songwriters, Daniel Lanois, playing a solo steel piece called Panorama.
No, he is not a fancy player, he doesn't know all the 'right' licks, but he plays from the right place. And when you play from that place it's amazing how much emotion can be communicated through just one note.
